About Dr. Roy A. Wilson

Roy A. Wilson, O.D., was raised in Redford Township and graduated from Thurston High School. He is a graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University, in 1988.

Dr. Wilson returned to the metropolitan area to complete his internship at the Optometric Institute and Clinic of Detroit. He remained on staff at the Optometric Institute as a clinical instructor. 

Dr. Wilson was one of the first optometrists in Michigan to be board certified in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.

Since his graduation, the doctor has practiced in several different optometric settings including a HMO, a group practice, and with an ophthalmologist. He prefers private practice where personal care and patient satisfaction are the number one priority. 

Through his commitment to continual education, he became one of the first Diplomats of the American Board of Optometry in the State of Michigan in 2011. 

About Dr. Lucas J. Wilson

Lucas J. Wilson, O.D., F.A.A.O was raised in Walled Lake, MI and graduated from Walled Lake Central High School. He studied at Michigan State University where he double majored in human biology and nutritional sciences while also competing on the water polo team. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 2020.

Dr. Lucas then completed a residency in pediatrics and infant vision at the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. Dr. Lucas has a passion for pediatric eye care, strabismus, myopia management, learning related visual issues, and vision therapy.

Dr. Lucas enjoys giving children and adults alike the opportunity for clear and efficient vision. He also works for Vision to Learn, a mobile clinic that provides free eye exams and glasses to kids in underserved communities.
